Four years ago, I acquired a 1983 Jeep CJ5. Since that time, I have wanted to drop a new engine in it, but was never comfortable with any shops in my immediate area (Lee's Summit / Blue Springs). Years ago, I worked for an engine parts warehouse--supplying machine shops in the area that rebuilt engines. Most of my 'old' customers are long gone however. I finally decided to do some research, and find a shop that could do the work. I found I-70 Auto Service on google and--while a little skeptical from all the 5-star reviews (concerned that NO place could be that wonderful)--I decided to contact them. From the beginning, Tyler and Joe treated me with the utmost respect, and communication throughout the process was amazing. I will admit that their original estimate came in a little higher than I had budgeted, but in the end...well worth the extra. As a matter of fact, rather than giving me a low-ball estimate, then nickel-and-diming me after they got my jeep in their shop (as many will do), the final bill was about $400 less than the original estimate. To-date, I have approximately 500 miles on my new (remanufactured) engine, and couldn't be happier. I've dealt with and worked with a lot of auto shops in my time, and I-70 is definitely at the top of the list for customer service, and reliability.
Wow! Thank you for the high praise, Todd. We appreciate your spreading the good news about I-70 Auto Service and your experience with us. Joe Sevart
