In 1976, I-70 Auto Service, Inc., a family owned business, began as a gas and service station with three repair bays. In 1993 we grew and added to our existing building which more than doubled our size. In 1999 we decided to focus on automotive repair and removed our fuel tanks. Today, we specialize in computer diagnostics and stay up-to-date with training and the latest in equipment to service today’s vehicles.
 
Our mission at I-70 Auto Service is to provide the highest quality automotive repair with extraordinary customer service. We provide this by holding our company to a higher standard of excellence and continually educating our customers on their automotive repair needs.

Shane Edwards

Owner/President

Shane Edwards is the President and Owner of I-70 Auto Service, a company he has been a part of since 2018. Beginning his career as a service advisor, Shane quickly advanced to the role of General Manager in 2021, bringing his leadership and commitment to excellence to the company. In 2024, Shane proudly purchased I-70 Auto Service from Joe Sevart, and with it, the opportunity to continue the legacy of exceptional automotive care in the community. Under Shane's leadership, I-70 Auto Service is focused on growth and innovation, while remaining deeply committed to serving our clients, staff, and the community. Shane believes in maintaining the core values of trust, integrity, and service that have been the foundation of the company since its inception. Outside of work, Shane enjoys spending time with his family, including his four children and one grandchild. He also loves to travel and enjoys quality time with his wife, Robbi, who is his biggest supporter. Shane is excited about the future and looks forward to continuing to build on the success of I-70 Auto Service while fostering a positive and supportive environment for everyone involved.

Kendra OBrien

General Manager Kendra OBrien is a mother of 3, two sons and a daughter. She spent 22 years in the restaurant industry working her way to a General Manager position before switching gears to a management position in the convenience store field. Through her years of management she built teams to deliver quality products and provide excellent customer service. In May of 2025, she was promoted from Assistant Manager/Service Advisor to General Manager, a recognition of her dedication, leadership, and commitment to customer satisfaction. In her free time she enjoys reading, being outdoors, listening to live music and spending time with her children. She began dabbling in automotive maintenance and repair when her son began to show interest in working on cars and it was something they could learn and do together. Her interests in automotive repair and her desire to provide excellent customer service, lead her on a path to find a career where she can do both.

Sam Edwards

Service Advisor Sam began his career with I-70 Auto Service in 2025. Sam is married to his wife, Carrie and they have two children. Sam relocated from the Memphis area to work for I-70 Auto Service and relocated him and his wife to the Kansas City metro. Sam grew up at the Lake of the Ozarks before moving to the Memphis area later in life. He loves to fish with his wife and spend time doing activities together with her. Carrie and Sam have a passion for retired racing Greyhound dogs and formerly took care of many of them. They currently have two that they have adopted into their home.

Dennis Anderson

Parts Manager/Customer Service Representative Dennis is married with two kids. He comes from a restaurant background with varied experience there. Dennis enjoys going to swap meets and hanging out with his family.

Anthony started with I-70 Auto Service in June of 2020. He started working at an automotive shop his senior year of high school. After graduating, he wanted to continue his knowledge because he was very interested in the automotive field. Anthony has worked alongside of his father, who has been an automotive technician for 40+ years and was able to learn a lot from him. He started automotive school in August of 2019 and will finish within a few years. Anthony has always been fascinated by cars and how they work. He is interested in continuing to grow and learn something new every day. In Anthony’s spare time, he enjoys the outdoors by 4-wheeling, hunting, and fishing.

Ashton started with I-70 Auto Service in January 2022. His career in the automotive Industry started when he was 18. Ashton started from the bottom and worked his way up learning from Master Technicians across the great state of Missouri. He worked hard every day to provide quality work at the highest standards. Ashton and his fiancé have 3 children, when he is not busy raising his family, he spends time learning and training in the always evolving automotive industry.

Ethan is a young and driven automotive technician with a lifelong enthusiasm for all things on wheels. A true car enthusiast, he combines his technical know-how with a genuine passion for vehicles, spending his days in the shop and his free time exploring new automotive trends, riding motorcycles, or wrenching on personal projects. When he's not around engines, Ethan enjoys the great outdoors—whether it's out with friends, a scenic ride, or just soaking up nature. He also unwinds with video games, where his love for mechanics and speed often carries over into the virtual world. Ethan brings energy, curiosity, and dedication to everything he does—on the road, in the garage, and beyond. Ethan began his career with I-70 Auto Service in 2024 and has gained his ASE Master Technician Certification.

Chance graduated from an automotive program through his high school. He is in the Napa Apprentice program and will earn several certifications during the program. Chance enjoys skateboarding in his free time.

Preston Oakes

TechnicianPreston was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from high school in 2011, he began my collegiate basketball career at the University of Central Missouri. He later played at Johnson County Community College and concluded his athletic career at Ottawa University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2016. In 2015, Preston founded a lawn and landscape company, which he successfully operated for a decade before selling the business. His entrepreneurial experience has equipped him with a strong foundation in leadership, operations, and client relations. In March 2024, he married his beautiful wife, Jillian, and they are excited to welcome their first child this October. Preston began his career with I-70 Auto Service in 2025.
